Class TreeCellSkinBuilder<T>

public class TreeCellSkinBuilder<T> extends Object
The TreeCellSkinBuilder class constructs instances of the TreeCellSkin class and offers a fluent interface for creating and configuring it.

This class includes a static create method that accepts the same arguments as the original TreeCellSkin constructor and returns an instance of the TreeCellSkinBuilder.

You can use method chaining to call the builder methods for configuring the TreeCellSkin. Finally, invoke the build method to generate an instance of the TreeCellSkin class.

Note that intermediate builder methods are not evaluated until the build method is called, meaning they are evaluated lazily.

      public static <T> TreeCellSkinBuilder<T> create(TreeCell<T> control)
      Accepts the constructor arguments of TreeCellSkin(TreeCell) and returns an instance of TreeCellSkinBuilder<T>.
      Returns:
      an instance of the TreeCellSkinBuilder<T>.

    • build

      public TreeCellSkin<T> build()
      Builds and returns an instance of the TreeCellSkin class.

      Intermediate builder methods are not evaluated until the build method is called; in other words, they are evaluated lazily.

      Returns:
      new instance of the TreeCellSkin class

    • apply

      public TreeCellSkinBuilder<T> apply(Consumer<TreeCellSkin<T>> func)
      Applies a function to the TreeCellSkin instance being constructed. Most operations on the instance can be performed using this method.
      Returns:
      builder instance

    • indent

      public TreeCellSkinBuilder<T> indent(double value)
      A builder method that invokes the setIndent method on the instance being constructed.
      Returns:
      builder instance

    • addChildren

      public final TreeCellSkinBuilder<T> addChildren(Node... elements)
      Calls the addAll method on the ObservableList returned by the TreeCellSkin#getChildren() method.
      Returns:
      builder instance

      Calls the addAll method on the ObservableList returned by the TreeCellSkin#getChildren() method.
      Returns:

      Applies a function to the cellSizeProperty of the instance being constructed. This serves as a shorthand form of the apply method.

      Example:

// Use shorthand form
.cellSizePropertyApply(prop -> prop.bind(anotherProperty))

      builder instance

    • indentPropertyApply

      Applies a function to the indentProperty of the instance being constructed. This serves as a shorthand form of the apply method.
